JANE HUNT

Celtic violinist Jane Hunt
It was after her grandfather discovered and heirloom violin in the attic that JANE HUNT first began to play the violin. Coming from a family of sportsmen and actively competing on the International Junior Tennis Circuit, music was always a hobby for Jane growing up. It wasn't until the age of 17 that Jane decided she wanted to pursue a career in music and in 2001, auditioned and obtained a place at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK.

In May 2005, Jane graduated with a First Class Honors Degree and in the same month auditioned and joined Neo Camerata, an American based String Quartet that were deemed to be "changing the face of classical music by combining the emotion and beauty of classical and the excitement and energy of pop music." Soon after joining Neo Camerata, Jane was invited as a guest soloist to perform with The 3 Irish Sopranos. This led to subsequent extensive tours of USA where Jane performed a mixture of Classical and Celtic music as part of the show.

Since making New York City her home in 2006 Jane has been busy with engagements performing as a soloist at prestigious venues around the world among which include, The Cannes Film Festival, Sir Elton John's Lifeball, The Kennedy Center, The 60th Anniversary of the United Nations at The Paramount Theater and most recently Carnegie Hall. She also continues to make regular guest solo appearances with The Irish Sopranos and most recently Ronan Tynan.

The album entitled "Rebirth" uniquely combines Celtic and Classical music and has received much critical acclaim since its release in 2006. Rebirth has been the main feature on many radio stations across the country.
